A Message From Delegate Charles Poindexter
Our government in Washington, D.C., is rapidly moving away from
America's time-honored principles, values, defense and fiscal
responsibilities that have made us the greatest, strongest nation on
earth. Our freedoms and liberties are being eroded or removed by liberal
legislators and the liberal Washington establishment. This must not
stand!
On Tuesday, June 8th, we voters will go to our usual voting locations
to select from a list of conservative candidates one individual we
believe is the most electable to defeat liberal Democrat
Tom Perriello in November's congressional election.
I endorse Virginia State Senator Robert Hurt because he is the
strongest candidate to defeat
Tom Perriello and take on the liberal Washington establishment.
As a Virginia State Delegate, I work with Senator Robert Hurt in
Richmond and in our region and can attest he is a committed conservative
who holds with traditional Virginia values and principles. Robert is
pro-family and believes in preserving the sanctity of marriage and
protecting the rights of the unborn and of our elderly citizens. He is a
lifelong champion of farmers, community volunteers, small business
owners, our veterans and active duty military personnel, and the 2nd
Amendment.
I'm pleased to report Robert has earned a lifetime "A" rating from the
National Rifle Association, a 100% rating from the Virginia Society for
Human Life, a 95% rating with the Family Foundation, a 100% rating from
the National Federation of Independent Businesses, and is endorsed by
the Virginia AgPAC of the Virginia Farm Bureau. Senator Robert Hurt is
the only 5th District Republican Congressional Primary candidate to earn
and receive these coveted, hard-won endorsements.
As a fiscal conservative, small business owner and citizen-legislator,
Robert has developed the interpersonal and legislative skills necessary
to help create favorable business, education, and lifestyle environments
designed to encourage new industries to locate in Virginia and put
unemployed Virginians back to work. Robert recognizes that his
constituents often have the best ideas to make our district the best
place to live, raise a family and do business. Robert listens and puts
those ideas to work.
Robert Hurt is a proven leader whose extensive legal and legislative
