Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger Endorses Robert Hurt

Former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger is joining the growing number of leaders supporting Robert Hurt for Congress. Here's what he had to say:

"I'm proud to endorse Robert Hurt in the upcoming Republican primary on June 8th. As a state legislator, Robert has fought for limited government, tax cuts for families and small businesses and cutting wasteful government spending. That's the type of proven conservative leadership that we need to win in November. Please vote for Robert Hurt on June 8th."

Secretary Eagleburger joined the US Foreign Service in 1951, and served in various positions in embassies, consulates, and the State Department. Most notably, Secretary Eagleburger served as an assistant to National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger and in the latter stages of his career Eagleburger served as Under Secretary of State for President Ronald Reagan and Secretary of State for President George H. Bush. Eagleburger now resides in Charlottesville, VA.
