Hurt has credentials to cut federal waste

The Congressional Budget Office and leading economic experts are warning us that the federal government’s uncontrolled spending and growing deficits are not sustainable.
Anyone who has ever managed a business or household budget knows that this Congress and the Obama administration are piling impossible debt burdens on our children, grandchildren and future generations.
We need leaders who will attack the problem rather than be a part of the problem.
State Sen. Robert Hurt has voted many times to reduce wasteful spending in the General Assembly.
He knows that it is foolish to think that we can spend our way to prosperity.
He is a strong supporter of line-item veto authority and a balanced budget amendment.
He recognizes that the earmark process is corrupted, generates billions in wasteful spending and needs real reform.
Sending Robert Hurt to Congress as our 5th District representative is what we can do to get control of Washington’s uncontrolled spending. Robert has the legislative experience and common sense to help get the “beast” under control.
