Hurt: Experienced and Conservative

February 9, 2010

Please consider voting for Robert Hurt for Congress. Robert is a conservative Republican who has fought for his principles of limited government and for reducing wasteful spending and who has the voting record to prove it. Further, he has signed a pledge not to vote to raise taxes once elected to Congress.

Robert will be a leader in reforming government spending practices, and will focus on legislation that pulls back (not just stops) government intervention in the private sector. He will be a strong advocate on reducing taxation on people and small businesses so we can start creating jobs again.
Robert is experienced in serving the people. He was originally elected to the Chatham Town Council in 2000. In 2001 he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, where he served for six years. In 2007 Robert was elected to the Virginia Senate and is currently senator for Virginia’s 19th District.
In 2008 he was rated “A+” by the National Federation of Independent Business, the leading small business advocacy group. He has been rated “A+” by the Virginia’s Society for Human Life; “A” from Virginia’s Family Foundation (a leading family rights conservation advocacy organization), and has an “A” rating with National Rifle Association.

With runaway spending by the current Congress, we desperately need proven conservatives to represent the people.
