Hurt represents district's views
February 21, 2010
I want to express how imperative it is for
the 5th District to elect state Sen. Robert Hurt to the U.S. Congress.
Sen. Robert Hurt will provide conservative representation for the
district. He has established a solid conservative legislative record
while serving as both a delegate and senator in the Virginia
legislature.
Hurt has received high ratings from Virginia’s Family Foundation, the
National Rifle Association and Virginia’s Society for Human Life for his
pro-life and pro-Second Amendment support. He has signed a pledge to
vote against tax increases if elected to Congress.
By contrast, Rep. Tom Perriello voted for the Obama pork-filled stimulus
bill, the job-killing cap-and-trade bill and House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi’s devastating health care industry takeover bill. Hurt recognizes
that these bills waste taxpayer dollars and serve only to expand the
already bloated federal bureaucracy.
Hurt will work with serious-minded members of Congress from both parties
to enact real spending cuts and reduce the size of the federal
government; he will not be anyone’s lap dog. We need to elect him as our
5th District congressman so that our views are
truly represented.
