Hurt is a fiscal conservative

There have been several news items as well as
letters to the editor in the Danville Register and Bee about then Del.
Robert Hurt's vote on the $1.4 billion dollar tax increase during Gov.
Warner's term in office.
Sen. Hurt is a fiscal conservative. He
believes in low taxes and small government.
When Gov. Warner could not get his tax increase
through because of the House Republicans, he met with them and told them
that Virginia would lose its AAA bond rating and the government would
shut down.
Seventeen House Republicans voted for it. One vote
does not a liberal make.
Sen. Hurt has been good for our
district. He along with Del. Marshall, former Sen. Hawkins, and former
U.S. Representative Virgil Goode working together have brought many
outstanding things to this region.
What has Perriello done for
the 5th District, except raise trillions of dollars in taxes?
When I heard last week that he was undecided
about how he would vote on the health care bill, I could have told you a
year ago how he would vote.
He's been in Nancy Pelosi's pocket
since he's been in Congress.
We need a change - not a
transformation of America, but a good conservative to serve us.
Sen.
Hurt serves his constituents, rather than making his constituents his
servants as we now have in Congress representing the 5th District.
The
Republican primary is June 8, and if you want a good conservative in
the House of Representatives, vote for Robert Hurt. He will serve us
well.
