Digits
Posts huge support from
conservatives, leads all others in ballot support
Richmond, VA — Public Policy Polling released the second part of their much
anticipated survey today, that of 400 likely Republican primary voters. The
results showed that State Senator Robert Hurt held a convincing lead against
all his primary opponents by at least 10 points. Hurt has strong leads among
all key demographic groups including conservatives and seniors.
This survey comes after Public Policy Research conducted a general election
survey which showed that Senator Hurt was the strongest Republican candidate to
take on Tom Perriello, tying him in a head to head matchup 44-44, with a solid
lead amongst independent voters.
"I am truly humbled by the level of support my campaign has received thus
far" said Senator Hurt who is in Richmond fighting Democrat attempts to
raise state taxes. "To have such a solid level of support from
conservatives who know my long established record of opposing bigger
government, higher taxes and pro-family policies is a crucial as our campaigns
heat up across the 5th district. We are looking forward to taking those same
positive conservative ideals to Washington" Senator Hurt concluded.
In its 400 Likely voter GOP primary survey, Senator Hurt leads all opponents by
10 points or better, and leads amongst all demographic subsets.
