National Security

On September 11th thousands of innocent Americans were attacked by Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist regime known as Al Qaeda. This terrorist regime has only one goal--destroy America and end our free and prosperous way of life.

We need to ensure that fully funding our anti-terrorism efforts at home and abroad is the top priority for our government. As we wage this effort for freedom and security of the American people, we need to stand behind our brave soldiers who are fighting and dying for us. The United States need to remain vigilant and do everything in our power to monitor, track and defeat these terrorists at home and abroad.

This is not the time to cut funding. This is not the time to use the military to engage in new, politically correct social experiments. This is not the time to try brave, loyal CIA agents in courts of law, tying them up in costly legal battles when they have already been investigated and exonerated for alleged "war crimes."

Victory in the war on terror will not come from a single decisive battlefield as victory has been defined over the centuries in warfare. I believe victory in the War on Terror will only be achieved when we have secured the safety of Americans from terrorist attacks here and abroad.

In order to strengthen our national defense and fight the war on terror more effectively, as a member of Congress I will:
  • Ensure that our priorities are focused on making Americans safer
  • Support our men and women in the defense and intelligence services
  • Ensure that we fully fund our military operations at home and abroad so that we can successfully fight The War on Terror and act before terrorists strike
  • Support fully funding and deployment of missile defense systems that protect America from rogue nations such as Iran and North Korea.
