WSET: Two Congressmen Hold Rally for Tom Garrett: Two area congressmen were in Lynchburg to throw their support behind Republican Tom Garrett Monday afternoon. Congressmen Robert Hurt and Bob Goodlatte appeared at the rally to offer their support behind Garrett’s run for state senate in the 22nd District. Supporters, mostly Liberty University students, came out as well. Garrett says he wants to try and get the country back on track. ”We have a responsibility to try to honor the sacrifice of those that come before us by continuing to steer the country, and this state and the community in the right direction,” said Garrett.
